In 2020 Porsche Asia Pacific (PAP) wanted to establish the brand in a niche esports community as well as give Porsche owners and brand advocates the chance to (virtually) drive Porsche vehicles. The aim wasn’t to target professional players but provide an experience for the regular and novice driver and educate the participants and audience on Porsche products and the brand. We conceptualized, created and produced the Porsche Forza Asia Pacific Cup. We built a community of gaming advocates and set precedent for a yearly esports tournament, creating a 100% virtual qualifiers and a final, bringing drivers together to race in a virtual environment, producing broadcast quality live studio footage that streamed live-steamed to thousands.
